How did you get into Game of Thrones?

My sister had started the series first. I knew of it but wasn’t really into starting the series when it first came out because everyone was so hyped for it. I usually don’t jump on the bandwagon for most things. I eventually gave in and thank goodness I did because I was immediately hooked after the first episode. I got into the audiobooks thanks to my roommate who had them and I found them easier to understand than reading the actual book because of how detailed and intricate the actual text is. The narrator does a fairly good job.
